The Incredibles DVD coverThe Incredibles

This is my favorite pixar movie. I have seen it over twenty times (lost count long ago), and I still love it.

The animation is top notch, and the voice acting is perfect. I dislike animations where you can recognize the famous actor who is voicing the character, but in the Incredibles, it never takes you out of the movie. The story revolves around a retired super hero family (not too different from the Fantastic Four), and a villain bent on destroying all super heroes.

Brad Bird, the director, should be given an award for this movie. I really hope they make a sequel eventually, but they still claim not to have it planned.

What can you say about a science fiction movie that starts with the earth being destroyed? Douglas Adams’ book found its way to the big screen pretty intact. Some new elements were added and the plot was hammered into something coherent enough to be called a storyline, but every aspect of the movie is still as cynical and sarcastic, which is what defined the book.

This is a truly strange, wierd and wonderful film. Sadly though, the movie did not make enough profit for a sequel. It might still happen some day. I sure hope so.

Superbad DVD coverSuperbad

A comedy film about two teenage friends that are about to graduate. The story tells of Seth, Evan and their friend Fogell (“McLovin”). This movie is all about the american, typical life of teenagers that are obsessed with sex. The setting is a lot like the one in the first two American Pie movies. This movie is not a clone though, and it’s funny in its own ways. Very funny to be precise. A great movie to watch with friends.
